Jakub Valuš completed his Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry with distinction at the University of Pardubice under the supervision of J. Tydlitát. His master’s research built upon his previous work on the synthesis and characterization of hexa-substituted benzene derivatives, culminating in a thesis focused on the synthesis, properties, and chromic behavior of 1,2-diheteroarylbenzenes. His ongoing research further focuses on the synthesis of novel photochromic donor-acceptor Stenhouse adduct (DASA) switches and the investigation of covalent organic framework (COF) properties in heterogeneous catalysis.
