CV

Jan Podlesný has recieved Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry (2014) from the Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice under guidance of F. Bureš. His diploma work focused on 3,6-disubstituted 2,5-dihydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrol-1,4-dione derivatives. Starting from October 2014 he rejoined our group as Ph.D. student. His current doctoral work focuses on the synthesis  and characterization of novel organic push-pull chromophores derived from condensed thiophene scaffolds.
Since April 2015, an ICGS fellowship at NIMS, Japan has been awarded to J. Podlesný.

Topic

Push-Pull Molecules Based on Condensed Thiophene Derivatives

Design, synthesis, full characterization and further studies of novel organic p-conjugated molecules bearing thiophene condensed moieties.

The dissertation has been defended on Tuesday 25th June 2019.

Supervised Students

Bc. Eva Novotná (Bachelor's student)

Petr Lačný (Bachelor's student)
