He graduated from the University of Pardubice in 1994 by defending his diploma work entitled: "Effect of Medium and Substituents on Dissociation of Model N-phenylsulfonylbenzamides and followed by Ph.D. studies and thesis (1999) entitled: "Study of Acid-Base Reactions of Substituted Naphthalenecarboxylic Acids", both under supervision of Assoc. Prof. Miroslav Ludwig.
